WOODLAND WATERFALL SARIYATAL
There is a lake with natural source of water called Sariyatal Lake. It is located at a distance of about 1 km from Himalayan Botanical Garden on Nainital-Kaladhungi highway. The released water of this lake has been developed as a captivating waterfall by Nainital Forest Department to promote ecotourism in the area. At present, it has become one of the most attractive and amazing tourist destinations in Nainital. The department has planted various species of grasses i.e. bamboo and ringal along with some species of conifers like deodar, spruce and surayi to enhance the charm of this waterfall. Most of the plant species around waterfall have a tag with their local, scientific and family name. Moreover, for convenience of visitors there are two toilets near the entry gate. while there is no charge for using toilets. Benches made up of wood and irons have been placed near the entry gate for visitor’s seat.
